Lisa Telling Kattenbraker: "When no one was looking his heart took flight"
Lisa Kattenbraker
This is a limited edition unframed reproduction of Lisa Kattenbraker's original batik artwork. Each print is printed and numbered; they are printed by the artist on high-quality archival matte paper using an Epson Surecolor P5000 giclee printer.
Some designs are available in two sizes (if the size you want is not listed here, reach out to us and we may be able to get it from Lisa.) They are ready to frame in standard frames, or can be matted and framed to a custom size.
All prints are packaged with a foam or cardboard piece behind and sealed in plastic.
Sizes refer to image size; there is at least a one inch board extending beyond the image.
Lisa lives and works in Olympia, WA.
Her narrative batiks are expressions of her own experiences, often tinged with nostalgia as she explores her past, her ancestors, her role as a mother and grandmother, and literally sews stories together with ancestral threads. Her pieces explore the emotive landscape that we inhabit. The imagery, patterns, and faceless stick figures represent her life as well as invite the viewer to bring their own story to the pieces with the hopes of sparking conversation and connection.
Note that the 11x14 print has some slight damage on the corner so we've marked the price down -- the damage would be hidden in a frame.
